Are Al and Tipper Gore hypocrites for using 20 times the energy of the average American home?
… even though it wasn’t 20, it was 12?
… and even though their home is far larger than the average American home?
… and even though their home is also their office?
… and even though they pay almost $500/month extra to get their energy from renewable resources?
… and even though they have continued to improve their home, replacing incandescent bulbs with florescent or LED ones, and adding solar panels, and a geothermal heating system, and a rainwater collection system, thus DECREASING their energy consumption by 11% during a recent heatwave when other homes in the area INCREASED consumption by 20-30%?
Does this make the Gores typical, liberal-elitist hypocrites?
Good points, I doubt that many will catch your misdirection and will most likely answer "Yes, he’s an hypocrite."
BTW, if a hypocrite calls someone else a hypocrite, isn’t that hypocritical? Well it seems like a lot of that goes on here.

They’re typical limousine liberals.
If global warming were really this huge emergency that Gore makes it out to be, he would be taking personal steps to limit his carbon footprint. But he’s not because he’s a fraud.

no! dont you understand they are royalty and we all must put forth the effort to make up for what is owed to them by birth right!

Of course! How’s that hoax and change working for you?

Totally. And not only that. Gore does a lot of harm to environmentalists because he is a divisive political figure. They would be much better off with someone like Chuck Norris.
SO OK, I’m game… won’t necessarily buy into the global warming thing (my high school science teacher is gonna be pissed!). So tell me… we are buying a dwindling oil supply from fundamentalist Arabs who hate us. Is that sound economic and foreign policy? No? OK then, what do you suggest we do differently? Any ideas? Any at all. Hello? Anyone there?
Gore may be a ninny, but all the Republicans do is whine and put the interests of their party before the good of their country. Its one thing to dismiss the Dems, but having no environmental / energy policy at all is what makes the Republicans dangerously stupid.

I think it’s 18 times. At least in 2006, but he was well into his "green" stuff by then so it still applies. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s using even more now. His monthly bill averaged around $1200 in 2006 for a total of 191,000 kilowatt hours compared to the average US household’s usage of 10,656 kilowatt hours.

The environmentalist liberal elites want to live the jet set lifestyle while they send the rest of us to the dark ages with a tyrannical government. I’m surprised that people STILL buy into their lies.
