cheapest place to get 100-500lt plastic tanks suitable for fish?
i live in oz, 2.5hrs from cairns/townsville.
need grow out tanks for snails/guppies/platies/bristlenose etc want to buy 2 or so a week.
bunnings has 450l plastic water tanks for $80.
any better/cheaper ideas?
A good place to try are builders merchants, these often sell plastic coldwater storage tanks that are suitable for storing fish, however make sure that the plastic is food grade (white plastic usually is).
Another option is the plastic fish vats often used by koi keepers and aquatic stores for quarantine purposes. These can be quite expensive however but they do come with filtration systems.

If you can get to a feed and grain type place, they sell lots of different sized food grade plastic containers. They use them for feeding and storing grains to feed animals.
